Pruning Event - Knowledgeable Pruners Wanted

CRFG has been asked to provide support for a project to prune the trees in an Encinitas elementary school orchard, and to teach the art of pruning to students and their parents. This is a great opportunity to work with a local community and further the mission of the chapter: to educate people about fruit, especially rare fruit.

We are looking for member volunteers who are knowledge about pruning (probably 4-6 people) and those who are interested in learning (perhaps another 4-6 people). We will do a short demonstration on how to prune, and then commence with actually pruning the trees in their orchard (30-50 trees).
