July’s meeting will be about Moringa, the miracle tree, the most nutritious plant on earth. Moringa expert Mariko Gifford says her goal is to “compel everyone to grow Moringa.” She will cover:

• The history of Moringa

• Its health benefits and uses

• Projects in health for women and children

• Uses in agriculture and water treatment

• Climate resilience

• Moringa for the world

• Growing basics

MEETING SCHEDULE

• 6:00pm – 7:00pm: gate/doors open at 6pm. Come help the board members set up for the meeting and socialize with other members. Meeting will begin promptly at 7pm.

• 7:00pm – 7:15pm: Business meeting

• 7:15pm – 8:15pm: Presentation with questions at the end

• 8:15pm – 8:50pm: Raffle

• 8:50pm – 9:00 pm: Clean up

Mariko has been growing Moringa in Vista for the last 27 years. In that time, Moringa has made it to the health food and Superfood stage. She began teaching her methods 14 years ago, and now has students all over the world in more than 38 countries. The Moringa Sanctuary, where she began 27 years ago, is home to her original Moringa trees. They host tours, gatherings, Moringa dinners, and in-person trainings.
