Some of you may recognize the name Ken Tseng, or the name of his certified organic farm, Fortule Farms in Escondido. He gave us an orchard tour last September, and now he’s joining us at our January chapter meeting to talk about the growth and propagation of rare fruits, including/especially dragonfruit, which is one of his main passions.

Thanks to his two greenhouses, Ken is able to propagate many of his own fruit trees, and grows new and exciting varieties at the farm. A few unusual treasures he’s growing include yangmei, lucuma, cherilata, and black sapote. Ken really enjoys experimenting with rare and unique fruits, and he’d like to share his knowledge about these with us, and also speak about his successful commercial dragonfruit process.
