2026 Grafting Event - New Location

Annual Grafting Event

Saturday, March 14, 2026 10:00 a.m. - noon

Ocean Knoll Elementary, 910 Melba Road, Encinitas, CA 92024

Our annual grafting event will be held Saturday, March 14 from 10am – Noon. Arrive early (9:30) to help set up.

Please note: The location will NOT be at Norway Hall as in past years. Instead, we will be at Ocean Knoll Elementary School (outdoors, weather permitting) at 910 Melba Road, Encinitas. Parking is located behind the school near the orchard and garden area. (You may recognize this location as the spot where we had the pruning workshop!)

We will have expert grafters on site to teach us about grafting – the hows and whys...as well as to give a hands-on demonstration and to help members do their own grafts. Bring any scion that you with to graft (some will be available on site). Rootstock will be available for purchase, specifically: EMLA 7 apple, OHxf 333 Pear and Lovell Peach seedling. Bring any grafting tools, tape, scion that you have collected and wish to graft, etc. if you have them. Potting soil and pots will be provided, as many of the rootstock are not in pots.
