The next orchard tour will be Saturday, October 17th from 10:00am - 12:00pm at Dennis Sharmahd’s 3-acre Escondido farm and garden. This tour will have a maximum of 30 attendees due to space and parking constraints. We expect it to book up quickly so get your RSVP's in ASAP. The RSVP deadline is October 10th, but it will likely be fully booked before that.

Dennis has a collection of rare and edible herbs, cactus fruits, citrus, guavas, persimmon, pomegranate and other deciduous fruit trees. He expects to have available for tasting kei apples, sweet and tart pomegranates, and a few late jujubes. He will have guavas, sweet pomegranates, Suriname cherries, figs, and rare herbs for sale during our tour.

Dennis is an herbalist, mycologist, and ethnobotanist specializing in subtropical plants. He is the founder of Southern Sun Seeds and has been teaching about wild edible & medicinal plants and mushrooms for 30 years. He has been camping and exploring Baja since he was a child.
