Matt Fatino, Area Subtropical Horticulture Advisor for the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) will speak to us about the lessons he’s learned as the Cooperative Extension Subtropical Crops Advisor in San Diego and Riverside Counties.
He will speak about his first year of experience working with commercial subtropical producers in San Diego and Riverside, discussing current avocado, citrus, date palm, dragon fruit, passion fruit, and other smaller scale subtropical crop production.
He'll chat about what he has learned, the challenges our growers face, and potential solutions UC may be able to research in the next couple years.
We're glad to welcome Matt after a scheduling conflict precluded his talk in March.
