Earth Day Plant Sale at Alta Vista Botanical Gardens

Our Earth Day Plant sale will be Saturday April 18, 2026, 10am-3pm. It's part of the free Earth Day Festival at Alta Vista Botanical Garden inside Brengle Park at 1270 Vale Terrace Drive, Vista. We hope you come and enjoy the garden and check out all our wonderful plants for sale!

CRFG's booth runs on members' donations of plants, and the enthusiasm of members staffing the booth to talk about rare fruit and our chapter.

We want your:

• Plants with edible parts like fruit, herbs, vegetables, even edible flowers. Please label variety if known.

• Cuttings of fruiting plants

• Bags of fruit that are in abundance in your gardens

• Time staffing a booth shift (contact Dawne at dawnegale@gmail.com)

• Boxes or large bags, so people can carry their plant bounty home.

NOTE! Plants must have edible parts to avoid a tax issue for our chapter. No Citrus Plants due to quarantine.

If you want to drop off plants the day of the event, we will have drivers who are the only ones allowed to drive into the garden. They will be parked out near the front gate. A wagon will also be available at our booth to haul your plants in from the parking lot.
If you can’t make the day of the sale, check with others who are volunteering and see if you could drop off plants at their home.

It's loads of fun, bring your sun hat and the kids, visit the garden and all the booths for free that day! There will be music, food, artists and children's activities; check it out at the Botanical Gardens website.
