Fertilization Basics, Presented by Grady Taylor

A presentation on plant/tree nutritional needs, nutrient availability, proper fertilizer requirements, selection and use plus a basic summary of nutrient deficiencies in plants/trees.

Grady is a very long-time member of CRFG but only been a member of the NSD chapter for about a year or so. He has multiple degrees, certificates and licenses of which none pertain to this presentation. He, along with his wife, daughter, dog, and bees live on a half-acre property in Escondido. For the last 25 years, he has lovingly filled the yard with grass, shrubs, herbs, veggies, flowers and trees of which about 40 are heirloom fruit trees and fruiting shrubs.

This presentation represents his whole worldly fertilization knowledge derived from his attempt to keep the plants/trees alive, green and fruiting. He hasn’t always succeeded.
